First edition, interesting editorial production of a collaborative effort between Raquel Forner and Eduardo Jantus, illustrated with a large suite of 24 Astrobeings series by Forner.
Raquel Forner (Buenos Aires, 1902 - 1988) studied at the Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes de Buenos Aires,and then Spain, France, Italy and Morocco, later establishing in Paris where she studied with Othon Friesz and made her first shows. She founded, alongside Alfredo Guttero, Pedro Domínguez Neira and her husband, sculptor Alfredo Bigatti, the Cursos Libres de Arte Plástico. She received several awards during her career, including the Primer Premio del Salón Nacional of 1942 for “El Drama”.
